Welcome to the So Cal 2008 Men's State Gymnastics Championship website. The State Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday, March 15th and 16th, at Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California. Featuring the best athletes in all of Southern California, the State Championship promises to be an exciting event for everyone. Just 10 years ago, U.S. National Team member Alexander Artemev was competing in this very same State Championship as a 12-year-old. We look forward to yet another athlete coming out of these ranks as a future National Champion!
This website was developed by the Meet Host to provide athletes and their loved ones with the proper guidance towards a fun and successful experience at the 2008 State Championship. Many informational resources are available on this website, and gymnasts can start the State Championship experience right by taking our Pre-Meet Challenge. We wish all competitors the very best. Did You Know?
Did you know that California is the only state in the U.S. that is divided into two "states" by USAG? There are so many gymnasts in California that it has been divided into north (Nor Cal) and south (So Cal) — keeping State competition on a more even par with the rest of the nation. Yet even divided in half, both of our "states" still rank among the top 2 to 4 largest in the country in terms of number of competitive gymnasts (behind a big state called "Texas"). Qualifying for the So Cal State Championship is no small accomplishment — you're the cream of the crop in one of the most competitive divisions in the U.S.!

Admission & Schedule
The Spectator fees for each day of competition are as follows:
- Adult (16 years and older) - $10.00
- Child (5 to 16 years) - $6.00
- Children under 5 years - Free
The revised March-In Times for each competition are as follows:
- Session 1: Level 6 (12+) and Level 7 - 9:10am, 3/15
- Session 2: Level 8 and Level 9 - 12:45pm, 3/15
- Session 3: Level 10 - 6:00pm, 3/15
- Session 4: Level 5 (7-9) - 9:20am, 3/16
- Session 5: Level 5 (10+) - 2:30pm, 3/16
- Session 6: Level 6 (8-11) - 6:25pm, 3/16

T-Shirt / Sweatshirt Pre-Orders: Order in advance and pick-up at the Meet, and save $5.00 off the Meet price. Please note that sweatshirts will NOT be available for sale at the Meet. Meet Entry & Fees
Due to the very tight schedule this year with the Conference and State Championships being on back-to-back weekends, the Entry Fee policy for the State Championship has changed. All clubs are requested to enter and submit payment for ALL team members (Levels 5 through 10) AND Team entries PRIOR to the Conference Championship meet. The Meet Entry Fee is $75 per gymnast, or $15 per event if doing three or fewer events. The Team entry fee is $50.00 per team.
Refunds will be made to clubs for ALL non-qualifying Level 5/6 compulsory boys at the State Championship, along with Team entry fees for clubs qualifying less than three boys for a Team score. All other refunds will be in accordance to SCMGA policy. Meet Entry Fees and Entry Form for Level 7 through Level 10 gymnasts, if not submitted with a US postal mark of February 15, are now subject to late fees.
