The Optional Club of the Year award is presented to the top Optionals team based on individual performances at the So Cal State Championship. The Optional Club of the Year award is calculated in the following manner:
- Top six All-Around scores from Levels 8, 9, or 10
- A maximum of two All-Around scores from Level 8
The team with the highest cumulative score wins the Optional Club of the Year award.
